Peak Body Breakfast
What if the Community Services Industry taped into the Information Mine?
Is this really a valuable resource?

Can you imagine a standard way that organisations across the community could share information about their services?
Imagine how much time it would save to find services when referring clients.
That's exactly what the Australian Tourism industry did when it established the Australian Tourism Data Standard and Warehouse in 2001. The industry banded together to standardise what information it collects and what terms it uses to record this information. This gave them an untapped data market which led to multiple outlets across Australia using the one data mine.
This Event was run on Tuesday. 16th April 2013.
