Executive Director Brentyn Parkin said ‘Community Information Support Services are expanding our leadership to reach more Australians. Our board of directors are delighted to be welcoming Anthony, who brings twenty years of experience in leadership in health and community services to support our next phase of growth. After many years working in healthcare, including as a clinician, Anthony sees an opportunity for Community Information Support Services continue to expand our reach connecting people and communities. Anthony said "Ten years ago, I moved into leadership because I was so frustrated by the lack of connection and communication across the health and community services system and was driven to take action." This is the core business of Community Information Support Services who use technology and information to empower services, communities, organisations and individuals to connect across sectors to help people access the care they need close to home. Community Information Support Service's has a national system of services information that delivers shared value and benefits across these sectors. Australia’s 10 year primary care plan was released in March this year and one of the key reform streams is ‘Integrated care, locally delivered’. Community Information Support Services will be developing systems for social prescribing in Australia.
